McKenney armed robbery leaves customer hospitalized after shooting

MCKENNEY – The investigation into an armed robbery that left one person wounded is ongoing, according to Dinwiddie Sheriff’s Office authorities.

Major William Knott with Dinwiddie Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday night, at least one armed suspect entered the Quick Mart along the 21000 block of Boydton Plank Road in McKenney.

During the course of the robbery, authorities said a customer inside the store was shot. That person was rushed via helicopter to VCU Medical Center in Richmond for treatment.

Their condition is unknown as of press time.

Few details are known in regards to the armed robbery as authorities continue their investigation and work to create a suspect description.
