DINWIDDIE – A Dinwiddie County school bus was involved in a minor accident during the morning commute Monday, officials with the school division confirmed.
According to Christie Clarke with Dinwiddie County Public Schools, just before 8 a.m. Monday, Dinwiddie School Bus No. 86 was involved in “a no-fault accident” at the intersection of Ritchie Avenue and Boydton Plank Road while transporting five Southside Elementary School students to class.
Based on assessments at the scene, none of the five students, the bus driver, or driver of the other vehicle were injured in the Monday morning accident. The families of the five students aboard the bus were contacted by Dinwiddie Schools’ Central Office following the accident.
