High-speed pursuit leads to crash in Dinwiddie

DINWIDDIE, Va -- Charges are pending and an arrest has been made for a driver who led Virginia State Police troopers in a high-speed chase Aug. 13.

According to Virginia State Police, around 8:30 a.m. a VSP trooper tried to stop a driver traveling south on I-85 in Dinwiddie County before a pursuit began when the driver refused.

The driver lost control at the 39-mile marker in Brunswick County and struck the guardrail. No injuries were reported from the crash and an investigation is ongoing.
